Visit official website: https://echallan.psca.gop.pk
This is the only authentic PSCA e challan check portal. Bookmark it for future use. Avoid fake websites ending with .com or .pk domains claiming PSCA service.
Type your vehicle number exactly as shown on registration card:
- Format example: LEB-1234 or RIM-5678
- Use capital letters for series (LEB, LED, LEA, RIM, etc.)
- Include hyphen between series and numbers
- No spaces before or after
Provide one of these for verification:
- CNIC: 13 digits without dashes (example: 3520212345671)
- Chassis: 17-character VIN from registration book
System matches this with vehicle ownership record for security.
Click "I'm not a robot" checkbox. If prompted, select images matching the given category (traffic lights, crosswalks, etc.). This prevents automated abuse of the checking system.
Press the green search button. PSCA database processes your query and returns results within 3-5 seconds. During peak hours (4-6 PM), it may take up to 10 seconds.
Your screen displays:

Common E Challan Check Issues & Solutions
❌ "No Record Found" Message
Possible reasons:
- No pending challan (good news - you're clear!)
- Typo in vehicle number or CNIC entry
- Challan issued but not yet uploaded (wait 24-48 hours)
- Using wrong portal (Punjab vehicles must use PSCA, Islamabad use ITP)
Solution: Double-check spelling, try again after 24 hours, or call helpline for manual verification.
❌ Portal Not Loading / Timeout
Common causes:
- Peak traffic hours (4-6 PM weekdays)
- Internet connection issues
- Browser cache problems
- Portal maintenance (rare)
Solution: Try different browser (Chrome recommended), clear cache, check during off-peak hours (8-11 AM best), or use mobile app alternative.
❌ CNIC Not Matching
Why this happens:
- Vehicle registered in different person's name (owner vs driver)
- Recent ownership transfer not updated in Excise database
- Typing CNIC with dashes (use 13 digits without dashes)
Solution: Use registered owner's CNIC from vehicle registration book, or update ownership at Excise & Taxation office.

E Challan Check FAQ
Can I check e challan with only vehicle number (without CNIC)?
Most official portals require CNIC or chassis number for security. However, SMS service (send vehicle number to 1991) provides basic status without CNIC. For complete details and payment, CNIC verification is mandatory.
How often should I check e challan?
Traffic experts recommend checking monthly if you drive regularly, or immediately after receiving any SMS notification from traffic police or Safe City Authority.
Can I check e challan for someone else's vehicle?
No, you need the registered owner's CNIC for verification. This privacy measure prevents unauthorized checking. For company vehicles, use company NTN and authorization.
Do all Pakistan cities have online e challan check?
Major cities (Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala, Karachi) have full online systems. Smaller cities are transitioning from manual to digital. Check with local traffic police for availability.

Yes, checking on official portals is completely free with unlimited attempts. SMS check may cost Rs. 2-5 per query depending on your mobile operator.
What if I find a challan on someone else's name but my vehicle?
This happens with cloned number plates. File complaint immediately at nearest traffic police station with your vehicle photos, registration book and any CCTV evidence showing your vehicle elsewhere during violation time.
